It is often said that the day you learn to crack jokes on yourself, you have evolved and grown wise. In a way, it also brings you the respect and admiration of others because it only reflects you have let go of your ego and are modest enough to make light of yourself. Those who have done that have become iconic personalities.

One such person is Kala Tapaswi K Viswanath. Those who have interacted with him often state he is quite practical with a lot of rationale but beneath that tough frame lies someone who is very good with words and comedy. This was often seen in his movies and though he has passed his prime, Viswanath has not lost it.

He was brought in wheelchair for a special program at Film Chamber and it is heard that his health is not so great. While entering the hall, he reportedly said “This looks like Sagara Sangamam climax scene, you are bringing me like that.” Those who heard this burst out laughing and quoted Viswanath has a great sense of humour.
