Any movie which is preparing for a release tends to become a litmus test not just for hero, heroine but also for the director. While that is a natural phenomenon, things change when it is a big budget flick which have the potential to redefine the essence of cinema. In that situation, the litmus test is more for the director.

True to that, one project is now going to test the director. He is none other than the showman of the south Shankar and the movie in discussion is ‘2.0’ featuring Style Samrat Rajnikanth and the charming star Akshay Kumar. The movie is hitting the screens this month but till now no hype got generated fitting its image.

Given the time it has taken for making, one would expect Shankar to come up with an ambitious pre release campaign but none of that is happening. If the film flops, the south Indian pride Shankar who is considered on par with the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli will go down the line. Let us wait and see what happens.
