Life of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa has all the ingredients to connect chords with movie lovers. Owing to her amazing popularity as Puratchi Thalaivi and Amma, the Tamil filmmakers are coming with a biopic on their great personality who showed her power in films and politics.

Though more than four to five biopics are in talks in Kollywood, the two caught the attention of all, as they happen to star natural beauty Nitya Menon and Bollywood star Vidya Balan. While the biopic starring Nitya Menon is directed by Priyadarshini and it is titled as ‘The Iron Lady’, the biopic starring Vidya Balan is directed by AL. Vijay who is renowned for his films like Madrasapattinam and Thalaiva fame. AL. Vijay is more popular in Tollywood as the ex-husband of Amala Paul. Vishnu Induri is producing this film.

Both the biopics are generating tremendous interest among movie lovers and especially fans of Jayalalithaa. Now speculation is even increasing as to who among Nitya Menon and Jayalalithaa will steal the hearts of all as Jayalalithaa and endear themselves to Tamil Tambis as Silver Screen Amma. In fact, Nitya Menon and Vidya Balan are starring in Natasimha Balakrishna’s biopic on his dad NTR. While Vidya Balan is playing the role of NTR’s wife Basavatarakam, Nitya Menon is starring as legendary actress Savitri.
