Generally, it is a rare issue for people acquiring the remake rights of a film even before the release of its original version. However, this thing happened in Kollywood film 96. with the film's first look, teaser and trailer mesmerising movie lovers, top Tollywood producer felt that it was a sure shot hit and acquired the film's remake rights.

As expected 96 turned out to be a super hit in Kollywood and Dil Raju got super confidence to score another blockbuster at the box office. He planned to start the remake as quickly as possible. However, he is unable to finalise the casting for the remake. Names of many top actors like Allu Arjun, Nani and Gopichand did rounds but none of them materialised. Now rumours are spreading that even Macho Hero Gopichand walked out of the 96 remake. Earlier rumours spread that Nani and Allu Arjun too walked out of the project.

Inside talk is Dil Raju finalised actors for 96 remake. Buzz is he is planning to cast Sharwanand and Samantha in the lead and sources say Dil Raju and Co feel the duo will be a perfect cast. 96 has the shades of Sharwanand's earlier film Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju. So it is easy for Sharwa to reprise Vijay Sethupati role in the original.

Dil Raju feels Samantha who is doing homely roles after her marriage with Naga Chaitanya will be perfect for the role of Trisha as there is no physical romance between the lead pair. Prem Kumar who directed the Tamil version will direct the remake and official announcement is expected soon.
