‘If we do a film on a political hero, we may not try to show another political leader as a villain’ director Mahi V Raghav cleared the air on the gossips which made N Chandrababu Naidu’s character as the main villain in Yatra.

The young director said, he is doing Yatra in the lines of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s ‘padayatra’ only. There is no chance of negativity in the film, he stressed again. While penning the story of Yatra, he said he never thought about negative issues such as criticism from Congress Party and Telugu Desam Party.

‘When I met Ys Jaganmohan Reddy recently in his Padayatra, Jagan never asked me to change the script’ Mahi V Raghav admired at Ys Jagan. The young director also cleared the air about commercial stamina of the film as, ‘We never think about commercial things. We just want to convey the people about YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s Padayatra only’. For some special scenes cinematic liberty has been taken, the young director concluded.

Yatra is scheduled to release on 8th February in which Malayalam Super Star Mammoty is playing as YS Rajasekhar Reddy. Anasuya Bharadwaj and Jagapathibabu portrayed other important roles.
