Being the son of noted director Puri Jagannath, Akash Puri had the privilege of acting in movies right from his childhood. As a child actor, he acted in several movies like Chirutha, Bujjigadu, Gabbar Singh, Dhoni and more.

Akash made his debut as hero in 'Andhra Pori' and last year, he acted in Puri Jagannath's directorial 'Mehbooba', both of them ended up as disasters at the Box-office. Now, he's again gearing up to feature in the story developed by his father Puri. Titled as 'Romantic', this film is going to directed by Anil Paduri while Puri will take care of story, screenplay and dialogues Both Puri and Charmmee Kaur will bankroll this project under Puri Jagannath Touring Talkies banner. 

Announcing this project on the social media, the makers released a poster saying: "Very happy to announce our next venture with Akash Puri titled ROMANTIC. More updates soon." Going by the title of the film, it can be deduced that it's a love story. The young actor is short of success right from his first film, so it is going to be the crucial one for him.
