The newest Bollywood sensation, Vicky Kaushal has a scored a solid hit in the form on 'Uri-The Surgical Strike'. Now, the actor is gearing ready to feature in a Shoojit Sircar's film. Having made critically acclaimed films like Vicky Donor, Piku Madras Cafe and Pink, director Shoojit has now set his eyes on a biopic based on the life of Punjab revolutionary Udham Singh.
During the independence battle, Udham Singh has assassinated the former lieutenant governor of Punjab and made it to the news. Considering that it was a revenge for the 'Jalliyanwala Bagh' massacre, Britishers have hanged him to death. So, we are going to see Vicky Kaushal as Udham Singh. The director has been on a hunt for a suitable actor who could his heart and soul to the Udham Singh character and he finally zeroed in on Vicky.
Prior to Vicky, Shoojit has got Irrfan Khan to play this role. But Khan, who returned from London after cancer treatment, is yet to recover totally. So, the makers have decided to rest him after consulting the actor and moved over to Vicky Kaushal.
