In 2009 election, Jr NTR dressed as Sr NTR and extensively toured Andhra Pradesh to campaign for Telugu Desam Party. During the tour, Tarak met with a road accident and continued his campaigning from the hospital bed itself.
He urged the people of united AP to vote for TDP in 2014 polls and post that, Jr NTR is seen nowhere in mainstream politics. The rumour is that Young Tiger had differences with Babai Balakrishna and so, he is maintaining some distance with the party. So, everyone assumed NTR would get ready to campaign for TDP this time as the star actor's rapport with Balakrishna is quite well these days. Both Tarak and Balakrishna have attended each other's functions in recent times. So, fans of Nandamuri fans certainly expected that Tarak will lead the campaign for TDP this time. But, Junior has kept mum about it.
Same is the case with another Nandamuri hero Kalyan Ram. Even in 2018 Telangana elections, both of them did not campaign for Nandamuri Suhasini, who fought the polls from Kukatpally as TDP candidate. So, they are not interested to support the party established by their grandfather NTR? Even a small video byte from NTR would rejoice the fans of TDP and Nandamuri family. But, both Tarak and Kalyan Ram seems to be taking a neutral stand.
Speculation is that Nandamuri brothers are waiting for an official call from Chandrababu Naidu or Balakrishna. On the other hand, the party cadre wants them to come and support TDP voluntarily.
