Former Telugu Actress Becomes MP

Navaneet Kaur, a former Telugu actress who made her Tollywood debut with Sreenu Vasanthi Lakshmi in 2004, is now elected as a Parliament member from Amaravati constituency in Maharashtra. Kaur was a well-known actress to our audiences with films like Sathruvu, Maharadhi, Roommates, Terror and Yamadonga to her credit.


Kaur, who also acted in Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi and Malayalam films, married MLA Ravi Rana of Badnera constituency in 2011. Post that, she entered into politics and fought 2014 elections on NCP (Nationalist Congress Party) ticket. In 2019 elections, Navneet Kaur contested as NCP-Congress alliance candidate and defeated the senior Shiv Sena leader and sitting MP Anandrao Adsul in Amravati constituency. 


The actress turned politician is happy about her victory and said that only hard-work has helped her to emerge victorious in Amaravati. As an MP, Kaur promised to put efforts to bring an airport and direct train to Amravati.
