The 2:52 min trailer is mesmerizing, highly inspiring and gives us a glimpse into all hurdles faced by a team of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) scientists in sending a satellite to Mars in their first attempt.

Directed by a first-time filmmaker Jagan Shakti, the movie features Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menon, Sharman Joshi and Kirti Kulhari in important roles. Speaking at the trailer launch, the star hero said: "I have done around 150 films but Mission Mangal is very special to me. I'm very proud to be part of this project." The space film is expected to narrate backgrounds of all scientists in the team and their ambitions.

Akshay Kumar, who never seizes an opportunity to work in films that generate a high amount of patriotism, has once again done a remarkable job by taking up the role of space scientist 'Rakesh Dhawan'. The fast-paced trailer tells us that Mission Mangal is sure to offer several nail-biting moments and it also projects the determination and tenacity of our scientists.

Mission Mangal is officially scheduled to release on Independence Day (August 15th), this year. It is a joint production of Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions, and Fox Star Studios.
