25,000 Penalty For Marriott Hotel, After Rahul's Tweet

It is known to many of us that Bollywood actor Rahul Bose's Twitter post has recently gone viral on Twitter. The actor who took to his social media page said that JW Marriott, Chandigarh has charged a shocking Rs 442.50 for two bananas during his stay in a suite room.

In response to his post on expensive bananas, the government official has taken action against the hotel under CGST section-11 article. As per the national media reports, Chandigarh Income Tax officials have imposed a penalty of Rs 25,000 for the Marriott hotel. Also, the Chandigarh income tax sub commissioner Manideep Brar has ordered a the IT officials to probe into it.

On July 22nd, Rahul Bose visited Chandigarh as part of the shooting his upcoming film. During his stay at the five-star hotel, Bose ordered the staff to bring a couple of bananas to his room. What happened after it has shocked him and he immediately took to Twitter with a satirical video post saying 'having bananas is harmful to health'.
