The announcement of 66th National Film Awards has just come out and Mahanati wins the race in the category of ‘Best Telugu Film’. More interesting is Mahanati has won another award for its costumes.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Mahanati has plenty of stars like Keerthy Suresh, Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Deverakonda, Naga Chaitanya and Dulquer Salman. While Keerthy Suresh has portrayed Mahanati Savitri, Naga Chaitanya has played Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s role.
On the other hand, Rahul Ravindran’s directorial debut Chi La Sow has won the award for its ‘original screenplay’. Ram Charan starrer Rangasthalam gets the award for its Audiography.
Meanwhile, Prashanth Varma's directorial debut ‘Awe’ gained the National Award in the category of ‘Best Special Effects’.
