It is known that actor Sharwanand is playing the lead role in the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster film 96. While the Tamil version has Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in the lead roles, the Telugu is going to have Sharwanand and Samantha Akkinneni in the lead roles.

The film went on floors in April and shooting has been happening at a brisk mode. This yet to be titled project is being directed by Prem Kumar, the man who directed 96 in Tamil too.

As per the latest update that has been given Sharwanand himself, the film is expected to release later this year. “Most of the shooting is over. I have shaved my beard now to shoot for some more scenes. We are hoping to release the film by the end of this year. If not, earlier next year. Expectations on this film are pretty much high. We are putting in all the efforts to make the best. Updates will be given soon by the makers,” he said.
