Kollywood actor Karthi gained good craze with his initial movies Yuganiki Okkadu and Awaara. Our audiences have taken a special liking for his selection of scripts. So, he's able to win a place in our hearts. Later, some buyers have incurred huge losses with his movies. So, Telugu buyers weren't excited to buy his last outing 'Khaidi'. As a result, the makers have sold Telugu version of 'Khaidi' for a measly Rs 3.5 Cr. But, the return on investment is almost 200% and Karthi has regained his Telugu market.
The film has amassed a whopping Rs 7.5 Crore from Telangana and AP states. Even though the box-office figures were average on day-1, it has set the cash registers ringing later. The Karthi starrer has also outperformed another dubbing film 'Whistle' featuring Vijay. In Nijam, Khaidi earned around Rs 2 Cr, 90 lakhs from Ceeded region and 1.25 Cr from Uttarandhra. Area wise and state-wise Box-office collections, Khaidi is one of the biggest hits in Karthi's career.
