Arvind Swami is playing MGR in Thalaivi and this known to us and Kangana Ranaut is playing the titular role in this film. But finally, after getting a glimpse of Kangana as Thalaivi, fans get to see Arvind Swami as MGR as the makers have unveiled the first look of the actor as MG Ramachandra, an actor turned politician, who ruled the world of Tamil cinema and politics too.

The first look has received tremendous response from the audiences and people took some time to believe that it is Arvind Swami definitely and not MGR. In the teaser, which begins with an iconic song of MGR and his photograph, date of birth and then switches to the performance of Arvind Swami for the same song and undoubtedly, the actor has just nailed his performance. Arvind Swami went into the skin of the character and fans are awestruck with it.

Directed by AL Vijay, the film is slated for release on June 26 and it is said that Priyamani is playing Sasikala in this flick.
