Ye Maaya Chesave is that film that has introduced Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni to the silver screen. The film is likely to get a sequel and that is what the fans are hoping.

Director Gautham Menon, the director of the film turned 47 on Tuesday and he interacted with media and fans, where one of them asked whether he has any plans of directing Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa 2, and the director said that he started the works the sequel for the original.

He revealed that the film is based on what Karthik (Simbu) will do for the next ten years. The director then added that he is ready to start the film if Simbu accepts his story. Also, he said he feels that only Simbu can play the role since the story is based on his character Karthik.

So if things work out as per the plans, there will be the sequel of Ye Maaya Chesave 2 and fans of Sam and Chay cannot keep calm anymore.
