Nepotism has become the most discussed topic on social media after the sudden demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Netizens breathing fire on the people who encourage nepotism and they are demanding equal opportunities to the talented actors without any filmy background. Recently, Sushant's brother-in-law launched 'Nepometer' to track nepotism in the film industry.
The Nepometer looks at five departments of a movie i.e, director, producer, lead actors, supporting actors, and writer. If the majority of them are from the filmy background or related to one another, the nepometer gives a high percentage. If the majority of them are without background the nepotism percentage will be less. Going by the nepometer, 'Sadak -2' scored 98% in nepotism.
The creators of nepometer are saying that they have introduced it to bring awareness among the people about the nepotism and their aim is to completely eradicate nepotism in the industry. Ever since 'Sadak - 2' scored the highest percentage on nepometer, the persons involved in the film Mahesh Bhatt family is receiving brickbats from the netizens.
