Megastar Chiranjeevi is presently working on 'Acharya' in the direction of star director Koratala Siva.  The movie shoot was stalled a few months ago due to coronavirus pandemic.  The makers initially planned to resume the shoot in the month of September but they have changed the plans as the number of Covid-19 cases is alarmingly increasing in Hyderabad. 

The latest information reveals that 'Acharya' team will resume the shoot most probably in November.  Meanwhile, there is a talk going on in the film circles that Koratala Siva's team has finalized the release date as April 9. It is known that the makers have recently released the first look motion poster on the occasion of Chiranjeevi's birthday. They have mentioned that the movie will be released in summer, 2021.

Megastar Chiranjeevi is romancing Kajal Aggarwal in the movie. Ram Charan is playing a key role. Senior music director Mani Sharma is composing music for this film. The movie is bankrolled by Niranjan Reddy under the Matinee Entertainments banner.  Smt. Surekha is presenting the movie under Konidela Productions banner.
