Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away last year. The demise of the sensational singer has pushed the entire music fraternity into a deep shock. On Monday, the Indian government announced Padma Vibhushan posthumously. A decade ago, SPB was conferred with the Padma Bhushan award. SPB fans were happy for this recognition of their favorite singer.
SPB won six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and 25 Nandi Awards in his entire career. The singer also holds a Guinness World record for singing over 40,000 songs in multiple languages. His songs are majorly in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. SPB also crooned hit numbers in 11 other languages.
On the other hand, Singer KS Chithra has been awarded the Padma Bhushan award by the central government on Monday.
