Even though the Telugu audiences didn't receive it well, the North viewers gave it a huge reception. Not only this film but the dubbed versions of Vijay's earlier films like Geeta Govindham and Taxiwala also have millions of views on Youtube.

This popularity helps in getting openings for his upcoming film Liger in North India. Directed by Puri Jagannath, Liger is an action drama that will have a pan-India release on September 9. It features Bollywood actress Ananya Panday as the heroine.
