Director VV Vinayak is known for movies like 'Aadi', 'Dil' etc. He teamed up for the first time with Chiranjeevi for the successful film, Tagore. There are a lot of speculations about the film's sequel. Recently, Vinayak came across these rumors and issued a clarity.

The successful filmmaker denied the rumors and said that it is risky to make sequels for blockbuster films. Vinayak further added that if the sequel fails, it will damage the reputation of the first part.

Tagore released in 2003 and became a big hit at the box office. The film revolves around corruption in all the departments of government.

Shriya Saran and Jyothika play the female leads in the film. Madhu produced the film. Vinayak also played a cameo in the film. The film was the remake of the Tamil film Ramana, directed by AR Muragadoss.
