Bollywood star filmmaker Karan Johar returns to direction after 5 years. Yet again, the star director is coming up with an interesting love story. Titled Rocky and Rani ki Prem Kahani, the film features Gully Boy pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.

Sharing the news about the film, Karan Johar wrote, "Yes, it's a love story, but no - it's not your regular love story. Rocky and Rani are going to redefine your usual love stories to take you on a journey!"

Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan will play pivotal parts in the film. Dharmendra and Shabana will be seen as Alia's grandparents while Jaya will be seen as Ranveer's grandmother.

The film is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy. The film's shoot will begin soon. More details about the project will come out soon.
