Star actress Samantha Akkineni is currently working on her biggest project till date, Shaakuntalam. Directed by Gunasekhar, this mythological drama went on the floors towards the end of 2020. It was halted a couple of months earlier this year due to the second lockdown. Again, the shoot resumed on June 28, and on August 12, Samantha wrapped up her portions. Everyone is stunned by the fast completion of her part in the film.

Generally, these big films take a lot of time to complete. But Gunasekhar has surprised everyone by finishing Samantha's part in such a short span of time. It is heard that the entire filming will also be wrapped up in a few weeks. After that, the director will get busy with the post-production works.

Meanwhile, Shaakuntalam's team hosted a wrap-up party for Samantha too.

Samantha also shared a special note on Instagram explaining her memorable experiences of working for this film. She thanked each and everyone who is a part of this project.

When a period film like this is wrapped up soon, we can imagine how good pre-production can help the commercial films in finishing the shoot in no time.
