Music director Thaman is in a prime stage of his career for the last few years. He has been bagging big projects on a streak and has become a numero uno music composer down the South in no time. It now looks like he bagged a multi-lingual biggie.

According to the sources, Thaman has been signed as the music director of Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film which will be directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Tentatively called #Thalapathy66, this movie is being bankrolled by Dil Raju.

If the news is true, this movie marks the first time collaboration between Vijay and Thaman. The latter was supposed to compose music for Vijay's film with AR Murugadoss but that flick got shelved as the actor didn't like the final script.

Finally, it looks like Thaman's wish of working with Vijay is coming true now. An official announcement about Thaman's inclusion is expected to be made soon.

Thaman is also composing the music of another multi-lingual project which is being directed by Shankar. Ram Charan plays the lead role in it.

The shoot of #Thalapathy66 is expected to begin early next year. Vijay is currently busy with the works of his next release Beast.
