Story:
‘Gamanam’ is an anthology film based on three different stories involving the lives of Shriya, Shiva Kandukuri, and two homeless kids.


Shriya is a hearing-impaired person who wants to get in touch with her husband in Dubai. She struggles a lot in leading her life.


Ali (Shiva Kandukuri) wants to become a cricketer and falls in love with Zara (Priyanka Jawalkar). His poor background becomes an obstacle for him.


The third story is about two homeless kids who want to celebrate their birthday by buying a cake.


The floods in Hyderabad plays a spoilsport in their lives and how did it affect them. What happens then? Forms the story of the movie.


Performances:

Gamanam is a comeback film of Shriya Saran. In the film, Shriya plays a hearing-impaired person. She plays a helpless woman with a kid in the city. She played a mature yet impactful performance in the film.


Shiva Kandukuri is at his best. The young hero improved a lot and displayed a great performance in the film as an upcoming cricketer, undergoing a lot of struggle. His romantic interest Priyanka Jawalkar too impressed with her looks and screen presence.


Charu Haasan, the veteran actor too played a key role in the film. The child artists also impressed with their performances. Nithya Menen's special cameo is good. Bithiri Sathi and others made their presence felt.


Technical Aspects:
The film is technically very sound. The camera work is too good in the movie. The visuals are grand. The scenes involving the floods are shot extremely well. The music and background score are provided by the legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja. His mark BGM is impressive. The film has got an interesting story. The editing of the film is good. The production values are lavish.


Review:
Gamanam is a very interesting anthology in Telugu. Usually, the anthologies are very rare but this one impresses everyone. Director Sujana Rao has picked up a realistic plot and weaved a very interesting screenplay with a human touch. The film showcases the struggles of different people of different classes and tries to send out a message to everyone. The internal struggle of every character is showcased beautifully. All the actors played their parts well. The film is inspiring in one way and is also emotional. Gamanam is an inspiring life journey that should not be missed.
