It is already known that Thalapathy Vijay is teaming up with Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally for a pan-India project. Tentatively called Thalapathy 66, this movie is currently under the pre-production stage.

Meanwhile, we now hear that the song composition works have begun today. Music director Thaman is composing a peppy track that will be crooned by Senthil & Rajalakshmi Senthilganesh.

This happens to be Thaman's first collaboration with Vijay. Thus, he is putting his heart and soul into it, say the Kollywood reports.

Fans of Vijay have put huge expectations on the film as well as the album. They are hoping that the project will live up to all their expectations.

Thalapathy 66 is being bankrolled by Dil Raju. Vijay built a good market in the Telugu states with his last few releases like Master, Whistle, Sarkar, Adirindhi and Policeodu. Now, he is aiming to expand it further with this film.

The regular shoot of this movie is expected to roll on once the actor wraps up his ongoing project Beast, which is being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.
