The outbreak of the Omicron variant became a curse for the high budget Pan Indian films whereas a boon for the small and medium budget movies.

Due to the intensifying cases, pan-Indian movies like 'RRR' and 'Radhe Shyam' got out of the contract period which gave wait for a bunch of small and medium budget films to occupy the Sankranthi season films like 'Bangarraju', 'Rowdy Boys' finally got an opportunity to have Sankranthi release this year. Now, another much-awaited film also got postponed which is 'Acharya'. The film starring Megastar Chiranjeevi was supposed to hit theatres on February 4th but got postponed indefinitely.

On this note, senior Hero Rajshekar is all set to occupy the slot and release his upcoming film, 'Sekhar' on February 4th. The film also features Rajashekhar's elder daughter Shivani in a crucial role. Touted to be a crime thriller, Jeevitha Rajasekhar is helming this project.
