Versatile actor Dhanush is making his Telugu debut with Sir. Directed by Venky Atluri of Tholi Prema fame, this Tamil-Telugu bilingual is currently in the production stage.

Meanwhile, we hear an interesting update about the film. Recently, veteran actor and Dialogue King Sai Kumar said that he is acting in this movie but didn't reveal anything more about his character.

It is now being heard that Sai Kumar will be seen as the main antagonist of the film. Sai Kumar played negative roles in quite a few films like Samanyudu and Yevadu. It looks like we are getting a chance to see him as the villain once again.

If the grapevine is anything to go by, Sir will be an action drama which is set in the college backdrop. Dhanush is playing the role of a lecturer who takes on the corrupt education system of our society.

Sir is titled as 'Vaathi' in Tamil. It features Samyuktha Menon as the female lead. Thaman is composing the music for this film. Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas are jointly bankrolling the project.
