Oscar-winning sound designer, Resul Pookutty's statement about RRR is leading to controversy every day. Recently, Resul called RRR a 'Gay Love Story.' This statement didn't go well with many RRR fans and also a few Telugu cinema celebrities.

Infuriated fans lashed out at Resul. Meanwhile, Shobu Yarlagadda, one of the producers of Baahubali, also expressed his disappointment regarding Resul's statement. Responding to him, Resul said that he just quoted what has been circulating in the media about the film.

RRR's music director MM Keeravani too joined the list of people who criticized Resul. However, Keeravani didn't slam Resul directly. Instead, he shared a sarcastic tweet that indirectly takes a jibe at Resul.

A few say that Resul has done this out of jealousy of team RRR, especially, director Rajamouli. A few netizens are commenting the same but Resul seems to be silent after the severe backlash.
