The versatile actor Chiyaan has been rushed to Kauvery hospital in Chennai after suffering with a heart attack today.

Vikram made his film debut in 1990 by appearing in En Kadhal Kanmani, a small budget love story. Later he acted in many super-hit films in both Telugu and Tamil. His films Aparichitudu and I, directed by the Kollywood ace director Shankar showcased the best acting skills of Vikram. Vikram won several awards and accolades for his talent. He is even known for maintaining a healthy and fit body.

But surprisingly, the actor is said to have suffered a cardiac arrest today and was taken to the hospital. The update on his health is yet to be shared by the hospital.

He was also expected to attend his film Ponniyin Selvan teaser launch today, which is scheduled to happen at 6 pm in Chennai.
