Versatile actor Prakash Raj watched the Marathi hit film Natasamrat and immediately wanted to remake it in Telugu. He initially wanted to direct and produce the film. The actor sought the help of Krishna Vamshi for the same and the director liked it. It is when Prakash asked the director to wield the megaphone for the film. Prakash even invested some money in the film.

However, after the makers shot some portions of the film, the actor decided to walk out of the film as an investor and asked the team to return his money back. As it is an unexpected shock, the team had to halt and it is the reason for the delay in the film seeing the light.
