Rebel Star Krishnam Raju is no more!

Legendary actor Krishnam Raju who was known as Rebel Star passed away this morning at a private hospital in Hyderabad. In the early hours of Sunday, around 3.25 am, he breathed his last.

 

Krishnam Raju was unwell for quite some time and he was being treated at a private hospital. Krishnam Raju was survived by his wife Shyamala Devi and three daughters.

 

On the work front, Krishnam Raju was last seen in the film Radhe Shyam.

 

Born in Mogalthur of West Godavari district on 20 January 1940, Krishnam Raju was 82-year-old. He made his debut with Chilaka Gorinka in 1966. Katakataala Rudraiah, Mana Voori Pandavulu, Bobbili Brahmanna, Tandra Paparayudu, Antima Theerpu, and Palnati Pourusham are some of his hit films.

 

Krishnam Raju joined BJP and won as MP for the 12th and 13th Lok Sabha. He served as Union Minister of State for External Affairs Ministry in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government from 1999 to 2004.

 

On the whole, Krishnam Raju acted in more than 190 films in his acting career spanning over 5 decades
