This Sankranthi marks the clash of the four big titans of South Cinema. While Telugu is coming with Waltari Veerayya' and 'Veera Simha Reddy', Tamizh is clashing with 'Varisu' & 'Thunivu'. But it looks like Telugu films have dominated the Tamizh market overseas, especially in the U.S.A.

'Veera Simha Reddy' has marked the highest business and booking with 6,500 tickets sold for 279 shows in 110 locations for $127K. And is followed by 'Waltair Veerayya', which sold 5,440 tickets for 226 shows in 91 locations for $108K. While Tamizh film 'Varisu' sold around 3,900 tickets in 257 shows in 110 locations for $83K, 'Thunivu' sold 2,105 tickets in 259 shows in 136 locations for $43K.

While 'Veera Simha Reddy' has already scored a record business, 'Thunivu' has the lowest market & business with almost equal centres & shows. Although this is a good sign of business for South Cinema, Telugu films have made sure they stand on top.
