Actor Nandamuri Tarakaratna passed away on February 16, 2023. Tarakaratna had been receiving treatment for brain damage and a heart condition for the last 23 days. He suffered a massive heart attack and fainted suddenly at a TDP roadshow in Chittoor on January 27, the first day of Nara Lokesh’s political foot march ‘Yuvagalam’. Despite efforts to save his life, his health condition was reported to be extremely critical earlier today.

Tarakaratna was undergoing treatment at Narayana Hrudayalaya Hospital in Bengaluru. After he fainted, he was rushed to a nearby hospital in Kuppam, where his heart stopped functioning for some time. A team of cardiology specialists from the US arrived to provide additional support for Tarakaratna's treatment.

Tarakaratna's wife Alekhya Reddy and daughter were staying with him in the Bengaluru hospital since he was admitted. Tarakaratna was planned to be shifted to Hyderabad from Bengaluru for better treatment.

Tarakaratna was the son of Sr. NTR’s son Mohan Krishna. He made his debut in the film "Okato Number Kurradu" in 2002.
