'Good Commercial Package'- Subramanyam for Sale Audio Review

Subramanyam for Sale is an upcoming drama film starring the young mega hero Sai Dharam Tej and Regina Cassandra in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by melodious Mickey J Meyer and directed by powerful filmmaker Harish Shankar. This film is produced by the brilliant Dil Raju and here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The album gets into the groove straightaway with the title song Subramanyam for Sale sung by the energetic Rahul Nambiar. This track is extremely fun filled with 80s Pop feel throughout its progress. Vanamali’s brilliant lyrics are topped with practicality and realistic approach towards life. The track paves the way for a fine album with a cool introduction song of this sort!

A breezy duet I’m in Love sung by newcomers Aishwarya Majumdar and Aditya makes its way next. The acoustic dew drop guitar, finesse in chord progression and contemporary feel establishes this as one of the good melodies this season. Out of the singers, it is Aishwarya who makes her presence felt with her silky and brilliant voice. Despite the resemblance of earlier Mickey’s compositions, it manages to create a relaxing ambience.

Aakasam Tassadiyya is a typical Mickey’s version of Telugu folk track sung neatly by Krishna Chaitanya and Ramya Behara. The tune’s linear progress gets the much needed kick with brilliant lyrics penned by Bhaskarabhatla. The interludes are neatly laced with minimalist approach having rhythm section, faint keyboard section and strings.

The much anticipated remix of Chiranjeevi’s all time hit Guvva Gorinkatho arrives in vigor and style. Yesteryear talented singer Mano sings this rehash version along with new singer Ramya Behara. The remix is done neatly without tampering the original brilliance of the song. However, one can hear additional layers of rhythm and percussions which is done well.

The dance party arrives with a trendy composition Telugante sung by the amazing talent Shankar Mahadevan. Along with brilliant catchy tune and impressive orchestration, it is the lyrics of Chandrabose which speaks about the glory of Telugu people with breathtaking simplicity and respect! The interludes are coolly laced around percussions, energetic trumpets and bass work.

Verdict:

Subramanyam for Sale is an impressive album which strikes a decent balance between melody and mass appeal. Strong lyrical department takes a slightest higher edge over the linear tunes given by Mickey J Meyer!
