During ancient times, the concept of Guru-Sishya was quite strong and it also gave rise to very scholarly individuals. In today’s time, this concept is very commonly found in the cinema industry especially in the department of directors. Tollywood has got many such Guru-Sishya teams.
One famous pair is that of the eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma and speed director Puri Jagannadh. By far, Puri is commercially more successful director but he makes it a point to attribute his success to his Guru RGV whenever possible. Hence, some are adding another suggestion.
As such, RGV doesn’t like to smoke and he posed just once for a photograph holding a cigarette in his hand. Despite all the dark shades he shows in his movies, he doesn’t have this vice. So, the cine seniors are suggesting maybe Puri should follow his Guru in this matter as well. What say Puri?
