'Breezy and Pleasant'- Brahmotsavam Audio Review

Brahmotsavam is the most anticipated summer release this year starring Superstar Mahesh Babu, Samantha, Kajal Agarwal and Pranitha in lead roles. After the tremendous success of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Mahesh Babu has teamed up with director Srikanth Addala once again.Music for the film is composed by melodious Mickey J Meyer. Here is an iQlik exclusive audio review of the album:

The album begins with Vachindhi Kada Avakasam which has already become so popular with the single release. Abhay Jodhpurkar’s gripping vocals set for an ideal family party atmosphere and not to forget Sirivennela’s amazing lyric for this thought provoking composition! A sure shot winner! The orchestration and arrangements are quite optimistic and melodious.

Madhuram Madhuram is a beautiful upgraded version of the traditional Madhurashtakam sung in praise of Lord Krishna’s beauty.  Mickey adds few layers of Hip-Hop beats for this evergreen composition which never goes overboard. This track sets a traditional outlook for this modern age album!

Road trip songs get a novel meaning with the title track Brahmotsavam sung by the power packed Sreeram Chandra which is again a fusion trance attempt which strikes the balance.  Once again, Sirivennela’s lyrics strike gold and prove time and again that he shares a special work bonding with Srikanth Addala!

The playful side of the album returns with Aatalu Paatalu from the sweetest vocals of Karthik.  Srikanth Addala himself penned this breezily appealing number which again speaks about the optimism in life. The interludes are quite pleasant with mild treble and sequencing.

Naiduori Intikada is a brilliant rehash of a traditional folk song and here the singers Anjana Soumya and Ramya Behara give a peppy treatment to it. Mickey retains the feel good aspect of this album by adding a folk tinge to it through this track. It is like a trip to the pure and rustic times of Telugu villages- in the so-called musical aspect!

The feel good solo arrives in the form of Bala Tripuramani with swift vocals of Rahul Nambiar and penned by Krishna Chaitanya. The song has impressive word usage but in terms of orchestration- it sounds quite linear and predictable. The rhythm section lacks thump but manages to be melodious throughout.

The finale strikes gracefully with a party number Put Your Hands Up which is moderate on energy levels. Shravana Bhargavi takes an inevitable front seat for this number by giving the best huskiness in her tone.  The composition manages to give a contemporary touch to this cool and breezy album.

Verdict:
Brahmotsavam is a breezy album for this summer from the relaxing combination of Srikanth Addala and Mickey J Meyer.  The songs and lyrics speak of classiness and elegance throughout.
