Though most of the movie lovers enjoyed Megastar's latest out coming Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy from beginning to end and made it a historic blockbuster few of the scrutinizers are criticizing the film that few scenes are inspired/some says copied from the previous socio fantasy and history-based films Baahubali and Padmavat. Let's see the scenes which resemble them.
Bulls:
The very moment the running bulls are seen on screen, one cannot forget the major action episode from Bahubali-The Conclusion where Prabhas diverts an aggressive fire horn bull from hurting Anushka. Here in Sye Raa, our megastar saves Tamanna and diverts the bulls to the outskirts of the village.
First Beheading Scene:
The underwater beheading scene of the British officer by Mega Star at the interval bang reminds us of the famous courtroom scene where Prabhas beheads the Senapati on the attempt to molestation complaint of Anushka.
Burning The British Alive:
This is another big inspiration from Bahubali. During the battle with Kalakeyas, Prabhas uses a tent cloth drenched in oil to burn them alive shooting a fire arrow. Similarly, here in Sye Raa, Mega Star makes the dry grass mixed with volatile fuel. When the British troops get into that, he shoots a fire arrow, burning all of them alive in a battle sequence at his fort. Like one of the Kalakeyas who smells the fuel, here in Sye Raa, the British soldier also smells, just before the arrow of fire hits him.
Demon Vs Naamam:
While Prabhas burns the big effigy of a demon shooting a fire arrow sitting on an elephant at the end of the song "Hey sa rudrassa..", here in Sye Raa, Chiranjeevi sets fire to make the Venkateswara Naamam glow at the end of the song "jaago Narasimha jagore..".
Setting The Fire On The Hill:
In Bahubali-The Conclusion, we see a festival where either Ramya Krishna or Anushka has to set a fire lamp every year. Similarly, here in Sye Raa, our Mega Star sets fire lamp every year during Kartika Pournami on a hill.
Kattappa's Betrayal:
Like Kattappa's betrayal in Bahubali-The Conclusion, we see Jagapati Babu's betrayal in Sye Raa. Though it's not a direct killing like in Bahubali, it's Jagapati Babu who results in Chiru's death in Sye Raa. It needs no further explanation.
Tamanna's Immolation:
Though this is not a lift from Bahubali, it is loosely inspired from Arundhati with respect to the choreography and Padmaavat with respect to the spirit of immolating oneself for not willing to lose respect for other men.
Torso Fight:
This was also not taken from Bahubali but from Padmavat. "Jis ka sar kate phir bhi dhad dushman se ladthaa rahe..woh Rajput"- This is a dialogue from Padmavat, which means "Rajput is the one who fights even with his torso after getting beheaded". A scene also depicts it in the second half of that film (can be watched at around 2:03:03 of the film Padmavat). Similarly, in the climax of Sye Raa, our megastar does the same.
