Vijay Deverakonda accepts mistakes and comments during Liger

Vijay Deverakonda, along with his co-star Mrunal Thakur and producer Dil Raju, has been vigorously promoting their upcoming film "Family Star". As the movie gears up for its release this Friday, the team organized a pre-release event in Hyderabad on April 2nd. During his speech at the event, Vijay Deverakonda addressed his infamous '200 crore gross' comment, acknowledging the criticism he faced for it.

Reflecting on his earlier statement regarding the anticipated success of his film "Liger," Vijay admitted that his prediction didn't materialize, leading to disappointment. Despite the setback, he reiterated his confidence in "Family Star," expressing his aspiration for it to achieve significant success. Vijay clarified that his optimism stems from a place of conviction rather than arrogance, emphasizing his dedication to entertaining his audience.

During the event, Vijay recounted his journey in the film industry, highlighting his initial dream of earning 100 crores with his fourth movie, "Geetha Govindam." While he achieved this milestone, he acknowledged the challenges he faced in surpassing the success of that film. Regarding the 200 crore remark, Vijay acknowledged the backlash it received and affirmed his determination to eventually achieve that feat. However, he also humbly accepted the criticism, acknowledging that he had yet to meet that goal.

Interestingly, Vijay refrained from making any bold predictions about the potential box office performance of "Family Star." Instead, he seemed focused on delivering a quality film and earning success through genuine merit. With his candid reflections and commitment to his craft, Vijay Deverakonda continues to captivate audiences with his sincerity and passion for cinema.
