Plot:
Chandrasekhar, the elder son of Balaraju (Prakash Raj) and a doctor by profession breaks his father’s word by denying serving in the hospital of his village. He leaves his family and village in pursuit of a lucrative lifestyle in UK. Years later, he realizes his mistake and his son Abhiram (Ram Charan) comes down to India to find the lost love of his family and falls in love with Satya (Kajal), the granddaughter of Balaraju. How did he re-unite his family and win the hand of Satya forms the plot of the story.

Ram Charan: The Mega Powerstar has proved his acting prowess with this film. You can witness his career’s best performance in the film. He was one of the best Krishna Vamsi’s heroes. He zipped up all the naysayers and answered all the doubts over his acting caliber with this film.
Kajal: We should say this heroine (who was missing in action from a while) has in a way made a comeback with this film. She was beautiful in Chandamama but was at her glamorous best in this film.

Prakash Raj: He has once again proved why he is most seasoned actor and a perfect choice for a perfect family entertainer.
Srikanth: What happens when an able actor like him partners with a director like Krishna Vamsi? The same has happened in GAV too. He was a treat to watch in the film as ‘Bangari’ with his comic timing and his scenes with Prakash Raj and Ram Charan are the key assets. His characterization was entertaining but deserved a better carving.
Kamalinee Mukherjee: She was cute and charming as ‘Chitra’ in the film. But she had limited scope in the script.
Aadarsh: This ‘Happy Days’ fame actor needs a special mention. He gives an impressive performance as one of the lead baddies in the film.
Srikanth: What happens when an able actor like him partners with a director like Krishna Vamsi? The same has happened in GAV too. He was a treat to watch in the film as ‘Bangari’ with his comic timing and his scenes with Prakash Raj and Ram Charan are the key assets. The rest of cast including Kota, Rao Ramesh, Jayasudha, Posani, Kasi Viswanath, Sameer, Vennela Kishore, Satya Krishna et al give their best to keep this family drama engaging.
Direction:
The supremely talented Krishna Vamsi was successful in making a refreshing reloaded version of his previous family entertainers like Murari and Chandamama. Though the script has its own loose ends, the film finally passes the muster with Krishna Vamsi mark taking, sentiment and entertainment. Unlike the rest of the conventional commercial family entertainers, GAV is in a way like a whiff of the old breeze and a sip of old wine. With this film he has once again proved why he is a master at extracting the best out of his actors. Besides story and screenplay, KV seems to have relied upon sheer magic this time.
First Half: The first half sets in with its own pace. Vennela Kishore's comedy, the songs, scenes between Prakash Raj-Ram Charan, Charan-Kajal romance and Srikanth’s entertainment keep the film engaging of course with an undeniable lag.
Interval Bang: The movie arrives at the interval juncture on an emotional note which keeps you waiting for the second half.
Second Half: This segment is totally loaded with a high dose of family sentiment and drama. Charan and Kajal strike a sizzling chemistry throughout the film especially in songs like “Ra Ra…” Some stellar performances by Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Srikanth & Ram Charan keep this segment engaging! A predictable climax is however inevitable.

Yuvan Shankar Raja gave some good music and some songs were well picturized (of course it is Mr. Krishna Vamsi out there). His re-recording was decent enough to make this emotional drama appealing.

If you are seriously expecting a formulaic commercial entertainer (with Brahmi or Saptagiri & others) then this is not the film. But, Govindudu Andari Vadele is a ‘Krishna Vamsi mark’ passable one-time watch family entertainer!
