‘V’ for Victory and the same one (V) for Venkatesh!

Post Chintakayala Ravi (2008), Venkatesh was seen in 4 films in four years, but he couldn’t deliver a solo-hit at box-office since then. The actor’s good run at the box-office started to fizzle out little by little which eventually disappointed his fans. To put an end to the chain-of- catastrophes, the actor has gravitated himself towards the trend-setting genre in TFI.

And it is – MULTISTARRER!!!

Like his fans, who hail Venkatesh as “Kotlallo Okkadera…. Kora Meesala Bobbila Raja”, we also see him as an extraordinarily special actor among many. Noted for his stoic to come out as a winner, understated style, Venkatesh found success in all kind of genres, including family drama (Suryavamsham), comedy (Nuvvu Naaku Nachav), political-drama (Ganesh), romance (Prema) and action (Gharshana).

And this year will surely be quite-memorable for the actor in both the ways. It should be said as a Comeback year for Venky, who was reeling with flops in the previous years. And the gloomy part of the story is Meher Ramesh’s Shadow, a big bum.

The very first Multistarrer film in TFI after two decades, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu starring Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu turned out as a juggernaut at box office and it has set a new record for other Tollywood films. Though the actor’s very next flick, Shadow (solo-film) couldn’t even make a miniscule effect on the box-office, our audiences have accounted the credit to the director.

And this week, Venkatesh made a swashbuckling comeback with yet-another Multistarrer film ‘Masala’. His trade-mark expressions and side-splitting butler English which was better than the British left the viewers in ‘hair-standing…lol’ situation.

As this week marked the riposte of Venkatesh, he is our only choice for being ‘Sensational Star of the Week’.
