She was recently busted for prostitution in a sting operation recently!
Yes, we are ironically talking about Swetha Basu Prasad!!!
But on a serious note, she is the one who worked with Bollywood’s most revered director Vishal Bharadwaaj in his award winning Makdee in 2002. She played a dual role in that film for which she was awarded nothing less than National Award for Best Child Artist!
She was also a part of many popular serials like Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki et al. Later in 2005, she acted in Iqbal, yet another National award film for which she won international accolades including the Best Supporting Actress at the Karachi International Film Festival. She rose to stardom with the same film and worked with eminent filmmakers like RGV in his Darna Zaroori Hai (2006).
She was familiar to the Telugu celluloid with her laudable performance in Kotha Bangaru Lokam (2008). Can you deny if we say she has stolen all our hearts with her “ekadaa..?” Her chubby cheeks and bubbly performance bowled us out in her debut over!!
But post that film, nothing went well for this Bengali actor. Not even one commercial success tapped her – be it her luck or her physique that pushed out of the business! But, even in their wildest imaginations, fans never thought that she was too busy in some other business! However, it’s extremely disappointing to see bright and promising actors like Swetha on the dark side of the showbiz. This glitzy world is so badass that it commends your hard work or consumes you away otherwise!
However, with the recent sting operation ruckus, Swetha is inevitably our SENSATIONAL STAR OF THE WEEK!
