The best part of Telugu audience is that – they don’t see the difference between a straight film and a dubbed film. If the movie is good, it’ll be a superhit here. There are several best examples for this statement and that is one of the reasons why, Tamil cinema could obtain a significant market here.
They usually release when there is less competition here ensuring a good number of theaters available but this season, it is quite a surprise for the trade onlookers. Current Theega that got postponed (from Oct 17) earlier is all set to release on the 31st of October. And we’ll be having Oka Laila Kosam and Karthikeya running by then. In spite of such hectic competition, two Tamil dubbing films Pooja (Vishal, Shruti Haasan starrer) and Kaththi (Vijay and Samantha starrer) are releasing.
While Pooja is coming on the 22nd of this Oct, Kaththi is gearing up to take head on with Manchu Manoj’s Current Theega. Trade pundits opine that mass entertainer Current Theega undoubtedly has the edge over Kaththi. Unfortunately Tamil Superstar Vijay does not have a good market here and hence has to bank upon the fame of Samantha and talented director Murugadoss. However, the audio release of Kaththi shall take place on the 24th of this Oct. This is a 'Kolaveri' Anirudh musical.
And this Oct 31, we shall witness a dubbing film compete with a straight Telugu film! Let’s see who’ll fare well…good luck guys!
