Police cases and controversies are not new to our Telugu movie makers. In fact, any controversy inadvertently adds hype to the movie. Aamir Khan's PK movie is the recent example. And now, Kalyan Ram’s latest outing Pataas movie was lucky enough to bag one such controversy.
Going into the details, a case was filed against Kalyan Ram in Banjara Hills PS, Hyderabad alleging over the inappropriate usage of our country’s ‘Three Lion emblem’ in the title logo of Pataas movie. Adding to that, the petitioner also alleges that in spite of playing the role of a cop in the movie, Kalyan Ram indulges in extensive smoking scenes, thereby passing wrong message to the society. In addition to this, the heroine posed in some objectionable outfits placing her hand on the sacred Three Lion Emblem in few posters of the movie, according to the petition.
Earlier a petitioner named Y Sridhar also filed a case against Pataas makers in Chaitanyapuri PS with similar allegations. Well, the movie already turned out to be the biggest commercial hit in Kalyan Ram’s career both as a hero and producer and the film is totally out of the league now. So, these legal tussles should not bother the producers now!
