When the filmmakers consider the old movie titles, they need to take a lot of care. Because, the old hit movies might have a great impact, but it is a big task to keep that up. The movie Jambalakidi Pamba was released in 1993 and stands as one of the favorite comedy movies even after years. With the same title, the movie stars Srinivasa Reddy and other comedians. Let us see if the same magical comedy repeats. Read the full review.

Story Line:

Jambalakidi Pamba is the story of a couple Varun (Srinivasa Reddy) and Pallavi (Siddhi). Pallavi suspects Varun for small things also. This makes Varun feel miserable. The couple decides to get divorced. They approach a famous advocate named Harischandra Prasad (Posani Krishna Murali).

The advocate had dealt a hundred divorce cases and this particular case is his 100th one. He dies in an accident. What happens next is to be watched in the theaters only.

Roles and Performances:

Srinivasa Reddy is a noted comedian. His single expression makes everyone laugh out loud. Though his performance is good, there isn't anything in the movie or the writing which is impressive.
Vennela Kishore performed well in the limited role he had. The heroine is good in her limits. Other actors justified their roles.

Analysis:

The title is misleading, as it gives an impression that it is an out and out comedy genre movie. This movie is a socio-fantasy movie in reality. Srinivasa Reddy's lady getup, the title etc are very misleading and the movie appears like a half-baked one.

The comedy is not at all impressive. Weak writing and dragged narration. The movie doesn't impress.

Technical Aspects:
Murali Krishna's script lacks strength. The story has no proper pattern. Title misleads. No fun in the dialogues. The screenplay is irrelevant at times. Production values are okay.

Plus Points:
Movie Title

Minus Points:
Rest of the things.

Verdict: Not a good attempt, especially with the super hit movie's title. Skip.
