Baadshah
Posted On 23 Dec 2013 - 06:16 AM

Baadshah arrived in the beginning of summer 2013 promising guaranteed entertainment for Jr.NTR fans along with others.  There were high expectations on the film even before the release owing to a series of disappointments with Jr.NTR earlier films till then such as Shakti, Dammu and Oosaravelli previously. The Srinu Vaitla factor raised the expectations even further and when the big day of release occurred- the film did not disappoint at all! Paced up narration, comedy, music, and Jr.NTR varied performance aided the film thoroughly and Baadshah was declared a hit with 135 million rupees of opening collection- being the top most opening grosser for Jr.NTR in his career.

Here is why:

Baadshah kicks off with high voltage introduction dance sequence of Jr.NTR for the song ‘Saira...’ which kept the audience at the edge of their seats. Till the interval Jr.NTR is seen as a guy next door but the pre interval bang turns the style of the film. Jr.NTR was brilliant in the Mafia Don attire and delivered a balanced performance in the title role. On the contrary, the film comes back to the Entertainment mode in the second half with non-stop comedy entertainment provided by Brahmanandam with a hilarious spoof of the Hollywood film Inception. ‘Banthipoola Janaki..’ became one of the top hits in the year 2013 and Kajal Aggarwal played a peculiar female lead role where she believes in the concept of “Banthi”!.

The main asset of Baadshah is Srinu Vaitla’s crisp direction and high entertainment quotient which delivers what it promises. There are very few boring moments in the film- making it a great treat for the viewers- Jr.NTR fans in particular!
