If the director is the captain of the ship, then the producer is its engine giving it power and boost. In Tollywood we have many producers with many blockbusters in their lists. But, there are certain ace producers in the industry whose reputation is hard earned and eternal. One such producer who made more than 100 films is Dr. Rama Naidu, who stands as an inspiration to many.

His involvement in a movie starts with the script, travels throughout the production and lasts till the release. He never confined himself to being a mere producer, but made his presence felt on screen too. He played various characters on screen, which fetched him a good name as an actor. Here’s iQlik Movies, unveiling an interesting chapter of his part time acting career. It was in the movie "Nammina Bantu”, which was directed by Adurthi Subbarao, having Akkineni Nagaeswara Rao in the lead role. Dr. Ramanaidu acted for ANR in the film or simply played a sleeping partner, acting as a dupe (Duplicate) for ANR. Dr. Ramanaidu hails from a region called Karamchedu, and majority of the film was shot there. In one of the scenes in the movie, which was a Bullock race, Dr. Ramanaidu raced those bullocks for ANR. Being the owner of those bullocks, he himself used to get the bullocks to the shooting spot. If you observe the shots closely, it’s Dr. Ramanaidu who raced those bullocks in few long shots instead of ANR. In a way, it’s like acting as a Dupe for the hero. Well, Dr. Ramanaidu is a true sport indeed!
