Adavi Ramudu is an undisputable trendsetter and an all time commercial hit at Telugu Film Box Office.  A unique which was one of its kind during the time of its release- with Forest backdrop and having all the aspects needed for a masala film such as Dance, Stunts, Romance and what not! Adavi Ramudu showed 56year old Sr.NTR in a contemporary look then. It was one film which brought the “Steps” era of Telugu Cinema- where Sr.NTR is seen dancing with the heroines!

Ramu(Sr.NTR) is a villager who helps out the villagers of a forest to fight against smugglers and illegal transport run by Nagabhushanam and his son Nagaraju (Satyanarayana). A Forest Officer (Jaggayya) also stays in the area and his daughter Padma(Jayaprada) falls for Ramu. A tribal girl Chilakamma (Jayasudha) also starts liking Ramu for the good work he is doing. As the story unfolds the criminals of the village come to know that Ramu is a Forest Officer who has come to investigate the crime.
