Bangaram story at a glance
Bangaram (Pawan Kalyan) is a TV scribe who works for a local news channel. He dreams big to get placed in BBC as News Reporter. For that he needs a signature of Peddi Reddy (Mukesh Rishi) who owns a channel and is also a factionist. Bangaram enters in to tangle with his daughters Sandhya (Meera Chopra) and Vindhya (Sanusha). Later Bhuma Reddy (Ashutosh Rana) another factionist impresses Peddi Reddy and wins Sandhya from him. Sandhya on the other side is already in love with Vinay (Raja) and asks Bangaram for help. Rest of the story is how Bangaram unites the couple and gets his job done.
The movie trailers and posters looked very promising then and increased the expectations on the movie. But the movie could not at all reach the expectations of fans and audience and finally turned out as one of the biggest disasters in Pawan Kalyan's career.
This is the first combination of Pawan Kalyan and Dharani.
Pawan Kalyan will not have a female lead in the movie. The movie unit had added a 30 seconds clip towards the end of the movie as Pawan Kalyan falling flat for Trisha in a train.
A.M. Ratnam, the producer of this film has earlier produced Kushi with Pawan Kalyan which was a huge blockbuster.
Just before the release of the movie, the muhurath of Pawan Kalyan's next Satyagrahi in Sri Surya fims banner took place. It was told that the movie will be directed by Pawan Kalyan himself. But that project never materialized thereafter.
The audio of the film was launched at a silent function arranged at Sunethra School for Blind at Pedda Amberpet in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Tamil hero Vijay, a big fan of Pawan Kalyan was the guest.
A.M. Ratnam and S.J. Surya approached Mahesh Babu to narrate the story of New (modified as Naani later). But later A.M. Ratnam subsided from the picture and Mahesh Babu announced the project New with S.J. Surya, which was produced by Mahesh Babu's sister Manjula.
