Eenadu (1982) story at a glance

Eenadu is a thought provoking film starring Krishna and Radhika in the lead roles which speak about the struggle of labor and working class. This film showed a different dimension from Krishna as an actor as well as performer.
 
Story Details:
The film is set in the backdrop of Political drama in the midst of working class and labor issues. The local MLA (Rao Gopal Rao) is a typical corrupt politician who is corrupt yet acts as a sincere Politician to the outside world. Raju (Krishna) is a honest labor worker who fights for rights and goodwill of the poor. He is  a philanthropist and works hard to solve their problems. In one such issue solving relating to water contamination which exists in his colony,  he meets the union minister Govindayya (Kantha Rao) who is equally corrupt as the MLA.  The rest of the film is about the confrontation of Raju with this political forces and how he solves the troubles of his people.
 
Performances:
Krishna is wonderful as the main lead Raju who strives for the issues of the poor. His body language suits great for a role of this sort. Rao Gopal Rao is extremely believable as the current day corrupt politician. Kantha Rao is excellent as the tricky union minister. Radhika is decent as the female lead and veteran actress Jamuna played an important role in the film.
 
Technical Aspects:
Dialogues by Paruchuri Brothers act as the main pillar for this film. The revolutionary lines which deal with several issues relating to common public were greatly addressed. Music by J.V.Raghavulu is adequate and the direction by P.Sambasiva Rao is crisp and caters the theme of the film. The movie is made on good production values.
